Anne Richardson, M.S. , S.D.
Anne felt called to become a Spiritual Director after her own journey in Spiritual Direction. In her former vocation as an Audiologist, she helped people to hear their external world. Now, as a Spiritual Director, she helps people to listen to their internal world, helping them to see God more in their everyday life. Anne sees Direction more as spiritual accompaniment. She strives to create the space for God and her Directee to draw closer together, letting God be the true Director. Offering compassion and open ended questions encourage the Directee to experience a deeper presence of God in their lives. Anne participated in a two year Spiritual Direction training through Christian Formation and Direction Ministries (CFDM) San Diego, graduating in 2011. In addition, Anne became a certified Supervisor, gaining her training in this area from the Mercy Center Burlingame in a two week intensive program. She enjoys meeting with her own Spiritual Director as well as facilitating and participating in several peer supervision groups. She is available to meet with Directors individually or in these groups. Having experienced God’s healing in her own life, Anne leads a group for women who have experienced trauma. She recently published a book called Not Alone: a Christ-centered recovery process for women who have experienced physical, emotional or sexual trauma. It brings her joy to see God’s loving transformation in the lives of women.
