Spiritual Directors

Most Directors would say they have been “called” to the art of spiritual companionship.  Although various training programs vary, most Spiritual Formation-Direction programs last approximately two years and include a period of internship.  We have included information about our Director’s training, as well as their form of companionship, in order to help you in your process of discernment.

The information listed here is provided by the directors themselves; San Diego Spiritual Direction does not check nor confirm any Director’s background, education or training.  Neither does SDSD provide training, certification, or supervision for Spiritual Directors.  SDSD does not evaluate, recommend or endorse any particular Spiritual Director.

By accessing this directory, you understand and agree that SDSD is in no way responsible for the acts, omissions or services of any of the spiritual directors listed or for any other actions taken based upon the information furnished by SDSD.  By accessing this list you agree to use the information only for finding a spiritual director, and not to use the list for solicitation; you also agree not to reproduce, display, or distribute the directory of the information listed herein.

Few people have a safe place where they can take off all their masks and explore who they are becoming. This can be a lonely if not anxious path!  As a certified spiritual director with long personal experience navigating transitions, I help women and men listen to their own inner voice along with how the Divine is moving in their lives, through good seasons and tough ones. In these sacred conversations you are helped to go toward what fills you with gratitude, purpose and strength, and to gently shed what no longer fits the person you are becoming.

I offer a free introductory session to let you explore whether spiritual direction is a fit, and am open to either virtual or in-person sessions. Although I was raised as a conservative evangelical, now my faith tradition is grounded in the ancient and present-day Christian mystics. I welcome those from any or no spirituality, and affirm the LGBTQIA community.  Feel free to contact me with any questions or to set up a time to connect.  Email:  angelieryah@gmail.com
